Report: China Tour by Ito Hiromi Organized by the Japan Foundation, Beijing
#Author Event#JF BeijingThe Japan Foundation, Beijing organized a China tour by poet and novelist Ito Hiromi and Lei Ke (蕾克), the translator into Chinese of Ito’s Menopause collection of essays. The two appeared at ten events held at bookstores and universities in Shanghai, Hangzhou, Beijing, and Tianjin.
The Chinese edition of Menopause, published in 2022, soon found a strong following among women readers. It ranked fourth that same year in the foreign literature (non-novel) category on Douban, a highly popular social media platform in China.
